Posted

A 24-year-old man suffered a broken nose, facial fractures and cuts when he was beaten up Saturday afternoon in the parking lot at Stillman Magee Regional Park on Mackville Road, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

Josh King was in a raft on the Mokelumne River when he and a group of about eight people got into an argument at about 5:40 p.m., according to sheriff’s Lt. Mike Jones.

King, whose address was not available, was treated by Clements fireighters and transported to a local hospital, Jones said. He was tested at the hospital for head injuries, but results were not available, Jones said.

Sheriff’s deputies have some leads on who the perpetrators were, but no arrests had been made by Sunday, Jones said.
