Police: Son is suspect in mother's stabbing

A man allegedly tried to kill his mother with a steak knife on Saturday, said Sgt. Eric Versteeg of the Lodi Police Department.

Police arrested Chad Elliott, 24, on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his mother, Pamela Swift, twice with a steak knife, Cpl. Dale Eubanks said.

    not sure how patrick knows this story but not the time to kid...kidding aside theres a real issue here! mental illness is a problem and keeps getting pushed aside...drugs and mental illness go hand in hand! i feel bad for this family to have to go through this...im glad shes ok and was able to get out of the house! could have been worse! thoughts to the families!
