Many of Downtown Lodi’s business owners and merchants will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters on Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon to 2 p.m.
The annual Downtown Halloween event used to be organized by the now-defunct Downtown Lodi Business Partnership. With the organization’s demise last spring, business owners in the Downtown area have decided to keep the popular event going on their own, said Randy Heinitz, owner of Randall’s Fine Clothing and Gifts.
Heinitz said business owners and merchants will dress up in costume and hand out candy just like in years past.
He said shops and businesses that are handing out candy will have signs in the window letting trick-or-treaters know to come inside.
