Becky Thomas and Fred Dutra share a tender moment with Fiona on their eastern Acampo ranch. Fiona, a 3 1/2-year-old border Collie, was missing in the wild for eight months near Interstate 5.

Very important to keep updated information on your pet's tags. We were in Valley Springs a couple weeks ago and there was an injured dog, scared and cowering, walking down the road, looking very lost. We were able to read the tag on her collar and get the phone number for her owner who was from the Bay Area and had friends local that were able to come and get her. With no tag with phone number, this dog may never have been re-united with her owner..
