The two uniformed and armed Lodi police officers who stood by at Wednesday's Lodi Unified school board meeting cost the city approximately $350. They were on the clock for three hours, and although on overtime, it was unpaid, according to Cpl. Val Chaban.
Instead, officers who work overtime receive comp time.
Their services were requested by an assistant superintendent, Chaban said.
The information was unclear in a Page 1 story in Thursday's Lodi News-Sentinel.
