The Downtown Lodi Visitors Center has art on loan, museum exhibits and a visitors information lounge all in one convenient new location.

"All the exhibits have been donated or loaned by different organizations among us," said Nancy Beckman, president and CEO of Visit Lodi! Conference and Visitors Bureau.

After a year of searching, the Visit Lodi! board has a new home on School Street.

With the movie theater less than a block away, and steps from local shopping, restaurants and wine tasting centers, the 25 N. School St. location has a lot to offer visitors and residents alike.

The Downtown Lodi Visitors Center will hold its grand opening open house on Thursday, Feb. 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event will showcase the new center, with light appetizers, wine and a Lodi Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting.

The center made the move from the second floor of the Woolworth building in the hopes of drawing in more visitors. Since the move, they have seen more walk-in visitors in a month than they did in three months at the upstairs location.
