Two arrested in connection with Acampo murder

San Joaquin County Sheriff's investigators arrested two Sacramento-area men on suspicion of killing Jerry Lee Khaoone on Saturday, according to Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Les Garcia.

Fredrick Stewart, 34, was arrested on suspicion of murder, and James Wallace, 27, was held on suspicion of murder, robbery and arson, Garcia said.

Khaoone's body was found by a passing motorist shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday along the western Highway 99 frontage road near Peltier Road in Acampo, according to the Sheriff's office.

Stewart and Wallace were booked in San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp. The case remains under investigation.
