Children in costumes decorated cupcakes while the sounds of music and the smell of tacos wafted around the festively decorated Harney Lane Camp for migrant workers at the first-ever Harvest Festival and Health Fair.
The event coincided with Binational Health Week and was sponsored by the Migrant Education Department. A number of health agencies had booths with information, and clinic volunteers offered free blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol screenings.
