Jeffery McInturff, suspected of multiple Lodi robberies that occurred in September and October, was assigned a new lawyer in court Wednesday.
McInturff, 25, faces time in prison if he is convicted on charges of armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, among others.
McInturff was originally represented by attorney Gregory Davenport, but due to the fact that Davenport may have professionally or personally known some of the witnesses involved in the case, had to step aside as McInturff’s lawyer.
Stockton attorney Armando Villapudua was selected in court to take on McInturff’s case.
McInturff, who has yet to enter a plea in his case, is scheduled to appear in court January 19, 2012 in Lodi.
