A retired private detective from Galt was arrested Tuesday by Woodland police on suspicion of impersonating an officer from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, according to Woodland police.
Anthony Vegas, 52, allegedly presented himself as an active state parole agent several times last week in attempts to get information for a child custody case he was privately investigating, Woodland police Sgt. Steve Guthrie said in a news release.
