A 27-year-old man was fatally shot during a fight outside a Lathrop bar early Friday morning, San Joaquin County Sheriff's officials said.

At about 2:10 a.m., Lathrop Police Services deputies responded to the 16900 block of Harlan Road following a report of a shooting, according to a press release by the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department.

When deputies arrived, they learned that three men had been shot during an argument outside the TX Night Club's parking lot after closing, the press release stated.

According to the release, it is estimated that approximately 40 to 50 people were in the parking lot when the shooting occurred.

Saul Salas succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men ages 30 and 35, who were shot during the argument, were transported to local hospitals.

Their current condition is unknown at this time, the press release stated.

San Joaquin County sheriff's detectives have responded and taken over the investigation. No arrests have been made and investigators are currently working to establish a possible motive and identify a suspect or suspects.

The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information on the shooting to call their office at 209-468-4400.
