STOCKTON - If anyone is responsible for the death of Marcell Denmon - the Stockton man who died Sept. 5 while in custody at the county jail - it's Correctional Officer Greg Furer, Deputy District Attorney Robert Himelblau told the criminal grand jury Friday morning in seeking an involuntary manslaughter indictment.

Himelblau, in tying up the loose ends after four days of testimony from witnesses at the scene and experts on police training, use of force and pathology, told the criminal grand jury that Denmon's death was caused by Furer applying consistent and constant pressure by standing on Denmon's back.
