Unseasonal showers will continue today but will quickly be replaced by sun and rising temperatures for a heat-packed Fourth of July weekend.

Low temperatures from Tuesday and today will quickly be replaced by summer weather starting Thursday just in time for the holiday, according senior meteorologist Bob Smerbeck from AccuWeather.com, a private forecasting service,

Smerbeck said the weater will "continue to be unsettled" through tonight before temperatures rise, reaching possibly as high as 102 degrees by Sunday, "the usual summer weather in Lodi."

Smerbeck added that higher temperatures are expected to last at least through next Thursday before Lodi could possibly see another cooling off period.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
