Lodi Health has named Terry Deak as its new chief financial officer. Deak, 55, has worked in the health care industry for 30 years, and has held several finance leadership positions in California hospitals and health care consulting businesses. Most recently, he was employed as chief financial officer at Colusa Regional Medical Center.

“I’m pleased and excited to be with Lodi Health at the cusp of a new era,” he said.

He joined Lodi Health two weeks ago, replacing Cindy Butler, who acted as CFO for more than a year following the departure of Ron Kreutner.

Deak is an Isleton native and a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
