A San Joaquin Superior Court judge set bail at $2.3 million for the man allegedly responsible for multiple robberies in the Lodi area over the past three months.
Jeffery McInturff, 25, who has already served two terms in state prison for firearm possession and vehicle theft, faces 14 charges that include armed robbery, resisting arrest and assault with a deadly weapon.
Family and friends came to the Lodi court Tuesday to hear McInturff’s charges. Though some cried, McInturff did not look over at them.
Instead, he sat quietly while judge Lauren Thomasson detailed his multiple charges, including that he allegedly used a gun during each robbery, attempted burglary or vehicle theft.
McInturff was arrested Saturday by San Joaquin County Sheriff’s deputies in Acampo after he evaded police capture for nearly three months.
When Sheriff’s deputies attempted to arrest him, McInturff reportedly attempted to flee on foot, only to be brought down by a K-9 unit.
McInturff is scheduled to appear in court againt Thursday for further arraignment.
