The greatest threats to California are the cost of public employees’ pension plans and statewide efforts to combat carbon dioxide emissions, according to an advocate for limited government, lower taxation and free-market principles.
Pension plans for public employees and new regulations regarding climate change will destroy California’s economy, said David Spady, state director for Americans for Prosperity in California. Spady was the guest speaker at Monday night’s Lodi Citizens in Action meeting, the community’s Tea Party Patriots affiliate.
