Roy Curtis Marcum, the animal control officer killed Wednesday when he went to a Galt house to retrieve animals believed left by an evicted homeowner was accompanied not by a Citibank representative as originally reported, but two locksmiths hired by the bank.
Marcum was fatally shot through a closed front door, while the two locksmiths both received superficial wounds. The men were treated by medics on scene and released, Galt Police Lt. Jim Uptegrove said today.
