A special publication, The Mokelumne Current, was created by Lodi students with the guidance of journalists here at the News-Sentinel.

In recent weeks, a band of high school students, along with sixth-graders at Vinewood and Heritage schools, met with an editorial team from the News-Sentinel. We discussed basics of writing, reporting and photography. We brainstormed ideas for stories, photos and graphics, all with a connection to the Mokelumne River. We dubbed these mini-training sessions our Mokelumne River Journalism Boot Camps.
