The San Joaquin County Planning Commission will consider a request on Thursday by M2 Winery to construct a winery on the south side of Peltier Road, almost 3,500 feet east of Lower Sacramento Road.
M2 wants county approval to build the winery with a production capacity of 36,000 gallons of wine per year. It would be built in three phases over a 10-year period. Winery owners also want to hold up to 30 marketing events per year with a maximum attendance of 150 people at each event.
Plans also call for a tasting room, office, lab, case, tank and barrel storage. The third phase calls for the construction of a 7,500-square-foot production building.
Thursday's meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the county Public Health-Planning Auditorium, 1601 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton.
