Manuel Martin, a 2014 candidate for the 9th Assembly District seat held by Richard Pan, D-Sacramento, will hold his kickoff fundraiser from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 3944 Scottsdale Road, Lodi.

Martin, 25, is a 2005 graduate of Tokay High School and has a business management degree from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton. He is founder and chairman of the Stockton Tea Party Patriots.

Martin is running for office with an unusual platform — he seeks to limit the state Legislature to three months in session and limit each legislator to author two bills per year.

The fundraiser will included lunch catered by DeGrande’s in Lodi. Tickets are $50 per individual and $85 for couples. For $100, couples may have a half-hour meeting with Martin and an autographed picture.

Reservations are required by calling Linda Gooden at 209-334-6733, or send an email to lindakay0623@sbcglobal.net.
