Santa Claus is coming to town! The Lodi Fire Department will be driving Santa through Lodi neighborhoods on the fire truck during the month of December. Mr. and Mrs. Claus called the firefighters and told them to get the big red fire truck ready.

Santa’s visit will be between Dec. 9 and 19. Expect to greet Santa and his helpers between 6 and 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Locate your neighborhood on the map to find out when Santa will be near your house. The numbers on the map are the dates he will be in that area. He cannot go down every street.

If you wish to see him, be sure you check the designated dates and street routes located on the City of Lodi website, www.lodi.gov. Santa’s visits will be held if weather permits; cancellations due to rain may occur.

Santa’s helpers will be accepting donations of canned foods for the Lodi Community Center.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
