‘Night of Honor’: Galt officers saved life of elderly woman, doctors say

Had Galt Police Officers Mark Fewel and Jose Ramirez not performed cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on an elderly woman who had suffered a heart attack and driven into the Napa Auto Parts Store on North Lincoln Way, doctors said she would have probably died.

That is why they were recognized Friday at the Galt Police Department’s first-ever “Night of Honor” held to recognize acts of heroism, lifesaving and other acts of valor by sworn officers, dispatchers, volunteers and other police department personnel.
