The Sikh temple in south Lodi will host a candlelight vigil tonight to express solidarity with families affected by Sunday’s mass shooting on Sunday that killed six people at a Sikh temple outside Milwaukee, Wis.
“We express our gratitude to the law enforcement authorities (in Wisconsin) for their quick response,” said Balwinder Singh, a former board member at Deshmesh Darbar Temple in Lodi.

I am sincerely saddened by this event and I agree with Mr Singh... the Wisconsin shooting reminds us that there is a little more we can do to be understood better, as a young, tolerant and a peace-loving religion..
This killing is so heartbreaking as is others around the world.

ms bobin... protocol in this situation is absurd and an insult. People of all faiths should unite and support each other when events such as this happens. There is a time and place for protocol...but this is not one of them. Im sure your thought is heart felt, but it is inappropriate.
I would appreciate your thought in most situations.

Perhaps it might be useful to mention any protocols or appropriate dress so that those of others faiths are aware and respectful of Sikh religious traditions.
