Lodi philanthropist takes truckload of donations to Texas hurricane victims

After months of work, Cheryl Francis, founder and director of the Grace & Mercy Charitable Foundation in Lodi, embarked on a road trip to Houston on Tuesday evening, towing a trailer filled with donated goods to help families who lost their homes during Hurricane Harvey earlier this year.

When Francis first heard about the devastation that Hurricane Harvey caused to her hometown of Houston, she began working with Lisa Brand, general manager of Jessie’s Grove Winery, to collect donations to help Houstonians rebuild their lives and enjoy the holidays.
