SIR to host California Department of Transportation manager at meeting

SIR Branch 145 will hold its luncheon meeting on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Lodi Moose Lodge, 3824 Woodbridge Road, Acampo.

Sam Haack, project manager for the California Department of Transportation, District 10 will speak about the role of Caltrans in current and future projects.

Special guest Arthur Brogli will play his squeeze-box accordion and yodel. Brogli was born in Switzerland and organized the first Oktoberfest at Utah’s Snow Bird Festival.

SIR serves semi-retired and retired men of Lodi. There are no initiation fee or member costs except for a minimal charge for the luncheon. The lunch is free to visitors at the meeting. For more information, call Neal Welsh at 209-327-2068.
