“It will be very warm and dry for the rest of the weekend and continue into the work week,” said Steve Travis, a meteorologist with Accuweather.com, a private weather forecasting service. He says the heat is caused by a ridge of high pressure air over the central valley keeping all storm systems away from the area.
Mother’s Day will see a high of 93 degrees.
After Thursday, the temperatures will drop somewhat into the upper 80s.
