- Did you know?
According to the McKinsey Global Institute, China will account for about 20 percent, or $27 billion, of global luxury sales by 2015.
Even during the global recession in 2009, sales of luxury goods in mainland China rose by 16 percent. That number is down from the 20 percent growth of previous years, but far better than the performance of many other major luxury markets.
China's upper middle class currently accounts for about 12 percent of the luxury-goods market.

Ten Chinese delegates were welcomed in both English and their native tongue outside a room at Hutchins Street Square on Tuesday as the business ties between China and Lodi continue to strengthen.
Wine bottles were uncorked, juice caps were unscrewed, and crackers and cheese set out on tables for delegates to munch while they inspected potential items to export and sell in China.
