A Lodi woman was arrested Friday night after an argument with a former boyfriend left her with a stab wound, according to the Sgt. Fernando Martinez of the Lodi Police Department.
Sandra Willhite, 48, was arguing with an ex-boyfriend on the 900 block of Wellwood St, police said. Willhite was intoxicated and attempting to stab the boyfriend with a knife, said Martinez. The man attempted to take it from her and Willhite’s hand was stabbed in the process, he said. The man was cut on the cheek, according to a post on Facebook by the Lodi Police Department.
The police were notified of Willhite’s involvement in a stabbing and waited for her to arrive at her home. She was still intoxicated when she drove up to the house and Sgt. Shad Canestrino made to arrest her for driving under the influence of alcohol., said Martinez. Willhite struggled and was eventually arrested for a DUI, resisting arrest and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
