The California Department of Industrial Relations has issued an order prohibiting Solis Farm Labor Contractor - a Galt company - from operating in the fields because of the company's alleged failure to comply with heat illness regulations.

"We have evidence to suggest that this company has failed to train its employees and this order will be in force until the company is in full compliance with California heat illness prevention regulations," Industrial Relations Director John Duncan said in a prepared statement.

There should be STRICK monitoring of all DAY LABOR and Farm Labor Services, with a two pronged effort! (1( To ensure all workers are doing their job in a safe manner, and (2) to ensure all working are of legal age and legally in this country. This would help prevent deaths hopefully and ensure that growers are hiring thos elegally here. A $1 million dollar bond for growers would provide an "Incentive for damages and closure of business for hiring illegals and causing death! There has to be a "Checks & Balances" in place or growers and labor groups are going to endanger people and encourage illegal employment.
