The following is a list of public meetings in the Lodi and Galt areas this week:

Monday

Galt Youth Committee

When and where: 6 p.m., Galt City Hall, City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Tuesday

Lodi City Council shirtsleeve session

Key item: Receive a presentation on the 2013-14 budget.

When and where: 7 a.m. Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors

Key items:

  • Public hearing on 2013-14 Annual Action Plan.
  • Consider a report on operational days for the Woodbridge Wilderness Area.

When and where: 9 a.m., board chambers, San Joaquin County Administration Building, 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton.

Lodi Unified School District Board of Trustees

Key items:

  • Recognition of district Teacher of the Year Paige Blevin from Lodi Middle School.
  • Continue discussion of district strategic plan, a set of goals and priorities for all school operations.
  • Consider change on how to develop students’ grade-point average to determine who becomes valedictorian.
  • Consider extending Chief Business Official Tim Hern’s contract for two years through June 30, 2015. Hern would be paid $155,394 annually.
  • Evaluation of Superintendent Cathy Nichols-Washer. This discussion is closed to the public.

Lodi Arts Commission

Joint meeting with the Lodi City Council.

When and where: 5:30 p.m., Crete Hall, Hutchins Street Square, 125 S. Hutchins St., Lodi.

Galt City Council

Key items:

  • Review applications for community benefit funding and make a distribution determination.
  • Approve the recommendation from the City Council and Parks and Recreation Commission ad hoc committee to initiate the process of developing a Memorial Plaza adjacent to City Hall.
  • Make appointments to both the Measure R Oversight Committee and the Youth Committee.
  • Receive the annual Youth Committee report.
  • Hear a presentation from Liberty Ranch High School students regarding an environmental-related experiment on potential issues in the Galt area.

Wednesday

Lodi Arts Commission

Key items:

  • Taco Truck Cook-off Committee report.
  • Lodi Arts Foundation report.

When and where: 1 p.m. Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St., Lodi.

Galt Parks and Recreation Commission

When and where: 7 p.m., Galt City Hall, City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lodi Planning Commission

Key item: Public hearing on a use permit to allow alcohol sales at 307 S. Lower Sacramento Road.

When and where: 7 p.m. Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine St,, Lodi.

Thursday

Woodbridge Irrigation District regular board meeting

When and where: 9 a.m. Woodbridge Irrigation office, 18750 N. Lower Sacramento Road, Woodbridge.

Galt Planning Commission

Key item: Provide city council with direction regarding increasing the current Planning Commission membership from five to seven members.

When and where: 6:30 p.m., Galt City Hall, City Council chambers, 380 Civic Drive, Galt.

Lockeford Community Services District board

When and where: 9 a.m., Old Lockeford School, 19456 N. Jack Tone Road.

Thornton Rural Fire District

When and where: 7:30 p.m., fire station, 25999 N. Thornton Road.

Reclamation District 348 (Thornton)

Key item: Consider approval of engineer’s report on district levees and ordering continuation of assessment for the 2013-14 fiscal year.

When and where: 2 p.m., Croce & Co., 501 W. Weber Ave., fifth floor, Stockton.
