It was commendable for the Superintendent to take the heat for this...however, it is the Board president who runs the meetings. Period. He should have told the people about the procedure (many people come for the first time...are they expected to know the procedures?). Which tells me there could be a systemic problem...one far greater than this one.

A Board member has no authority outside of the Board...unless directed by the Board to speak on its behalf...anything he writes, says or imposes does not represent the Board or District and should only be contributed to him. Period. Mr Gordon has on many occasions listed his credentials in this paper as "Board President, Galt Joint Elementary School District"...the Board should have corrected him. This practice must stop.

Mr Richardson was correct in his observations...“A person who has that ability to speak up would be an asset to your board, especially in these trying economic times,” He is an asset, as well as Mr Baldwin and Mr Davenport for their contributions. I commend them as well.
