Two people were injured in a shooting on Olive Court at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Lodi police.

Police said that a group of three people were standing at the corner of Olive Court and School Street when a tan or silver SUV of unknown make and model pulled up and five rounds were fired. One of the three people, Harland Kenyon, 20, was struck in the wrist, Lodi Police Sgt. Tim Fritz said.

The other two were uninjured, he said.

An errant round traveled two blocks and struck a young woman in the chin on the 300 block of Olive Court, Fritz said. Her identity has not yet been released.

The two were transported to local area hospitals for treatment. Their injuries are not life-threatening, Fritz said.

Neighbors at the scene told the News-Sentinel that someone had fired several gunshots on Olive Court near School Street as police questioned witnesses. Some three dozen people, including small children, stood outside to watch the aftermath of the shootings.

Police do not yet have information about the suspects, and the shooting is under investigation.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
