A youth was treated and released from Lodi Memorial Hospital on Friday night after someone hit him on the head with a muffler on LaSalle Street in Woodbridge, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department.

The youth was jumped by a few people, sheriff's spokesman Dave Konecny said.

Motorists driving through Lockeford can expect 15-minutes delays from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. today through Thursday from Cherry Street to Disch Road as crews repave the roadway, according to the California Department of Transportation. One lane will be closed during that time.

    If someone is hit on the head with a muffler and there is no one around to hear it, does it make a sound. Only the Muffler Man knows for sure.
