A Lodi woman is suing Lodi Memorial Hospital for medical malpractice, court documents show.
Geraldine Melhaff contends she was negligently diagnosed, treated and given the wrong medication, according to court papers.
Melhaff's age and the type of illness she was diagnosed with are not detailed in the court documents.
According to the documents, Melhaff is seeking monetary compensation from the hospital through an unlimited civil suit. The amount of money was not revealed in court documents, though an unlimited civil suit means the plaintiff is suing the defendant for at least $25,000.
Melhaff states in court documents that as a result of the malpractice at Lodi Memorial Hospital, she suffered injuries to her health as well as her strength. The injuries were not named in the documents.
Melhaff's attorney could not be reached for comment.
