Police: Lodi man attacked by bicycle-riding teenager

A local retiree is recovering from an attack that left him beaten and bloodied near a strawberry stand on the corner of Lower Sacramento Road and Vine Street on June 27.

Around 5:15 p.m. Horst Boehm, a 70-year-old retired mechanic, was driving with his his wife, Gabriele, to their grandson’s Stockton basketball game when they spotted a group of six or seven teens riding their bikes in the middle of the road.

    Evidently it takes 6-7 young cowards to make a point, hitting a 70 year old man, oh what courage. Perhaps the older man should have stayed in his car, on the other hand I would have done the same thing, only I would bring along a friend, though a few years older, the fire in my belly still burns, when needed. Though I suppose this young cowards mother and father, along with their lawyer would be knocking on my door, blaming me for the entire innocent, since their darling little boy that would do no harm had suffered some major malfunctions from my buddy and myself. In this case, I love the 2nd Amendment. And no my buddy is not a S&W or a Glock. I`ll let you make the call. [wink]
