Updates on a new crosswalk proposed on Tully Road near Lockeford Elementary School, as well as a new park and community center planned on Jack Tone Road, will be on Thursday's Lockeford Municipal Advisory Council.

Other items will include:

  • Lockeford-oriented public safety reports by the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol.
  • Reports on county issues by San Joaquin County Supervisor Ken Vogel. Vogel will also swear in newcomers to the MAC.
  • Demolition of a historic house in Lockeford.
  • A report on the county's Enterprise Zone, which promotes locating new businesses in the county. Lockeford's business district on Highway 88 is part of the Enterprise Zone.

Thursday's meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Old Lockeford Schoolhouse, 19456 N. Jack Tone Road.
