Lodi-area churches to offer Halloween fun on Wednesday

Several Lodi-area churches plan a safe Halloween night for children and grown-ups on Wednesday. Here is a list of some of the festivals that are scheduled:

Berea Baptist Church, 4957 Quashnick Road, Morada — Candy, games, $1 hot dogs, 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Century Assembly, 550 W. Century Blvd., Lodi — For children 12 and under, who will collect candy while visiting the trunks of decorated vehicles. Also hot dogs, bounce house and games. Open to the community, 6 to 8 p.m.

Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1540 W. Lodi Ave., Lodi -- Candy, popcorn, hotdogs and games from 5 to 7 p.m.

First Landmark Missionary Baptist of Woodbridge, 673 E. Woodbridge Road — Games, food court, treats for children, dunk tank. 5 to 8 p.m. Free admission.

Horizon Community Church, 446 Fairway Drive, Galt — Harvest festival from 4 to 8 p.m.

Lodi Avenue Baptist Church, 2301 W. Lodi Ave., Lodi — Carnival, games, free tacos, candy, 5 to 8:30 p.m. Come in costume.

Salvation Army, 525 W. Lockeford St. at Hutchins Street, Lodi — 6 to 8 p.m.

Temple Baptist Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi — Games for children of all ages, bounce house, a magician, helium balloons, hot dog dinner, candy. You can pet a snake in the reptile room. Children are asked to wear costumes, but not scary ones.  

Vinewood Community Church, 1900 W. Vine St., Lodi — Halloween festival. Admission, one can of food for the Salvation Army.

Rules of Conduct

  • 8 Share what you know, and ask about what you don't.
