Navy Seaman Aviation Mechanic Joseph Eggert completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Eggert was assigned to Ship 14 Division 093 and completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on Navy customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, and shipboard and aircraft safety. The capstone event of bootcamp is "Battle Stations," which gives recruits the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fleet.

Eggert's division was inducted into the hall of fame at RTC Great Lakes, one of three divisions of the graduating 14 divisions on Feb. 8 that received this honor. He will be attending additional "A" school training in Pensacola, Fla., before he is assigned to a command.
