Two appointed members of the Measure L Bond Oversight Committee have been absent for some time, and only one responded to repeated requests for communication, according to committee chairman Lester Patrick.

Hi, Tom. Thanks for the comments! I did not include some of the information you mentioned because the district is still working on new policies governing these committees. I will do a follow-up article once it goes before the school board on March 1 and provide all of the information you're seeking. In the meantime, I'm sure Mr. Hand would be willing to talk to you.

Jennifer, if one were interested in serving on that board, how would they communicate that interest? Who does the selection? What are the demands in terms of time commitments? What are the qualifications needed?

Lots of questions left unanswered in this article.
