The majority of parking violations in Downtown Lodi are committed by business employees and not visitors, according to the City of Lodi’s Code Enforcement Unit.

Alicia Nunez, the city’s parking enforcement officer, said she issues the most parking citations in the permit parking lots along Church Street between Oak and Walnut streets.

Very sad to see the real problem about parking in the parking structure not addressed.. When female workers get harrassed by some of the local homless people everyday. Not to mention people getting their cars broke into or vandlized. Who would want to deal with that on a daily basis? I did at one time park in the back parking lot until I encountered a man trying to break into my vehicle. A few years ago a person had his catylatic converter cut out from underneath his car during the day.. I really don't think raising the parking fine is the fix when you constantly have new transiant arrivals every week lurking around the lots... We need the police to be patroling the parking lots for a very long time. That is needed to make the public feel safe and help stop this from happening... Solve the problem and quit forcing fines for something that is not going to work...
