Mr. Sandelin would make a good fit with his long time commitment to public works, and a good one at that, but Mr. Katzakian, one of the business owners that was a defendant in the groundwater contamination case in Lodi, and whose insurer paid a miserly sum so his council peers could settle the lawsuit to enable him to even be appointed to city council, would be the last person I would expect to see on any kind of water resource board, given his past disrespect for dumping those toxic, contaminated chemicals out the back door of his business in days past. That same property was just leased not long ago without any seemingly work done on that plume that still exists there. How is this building owner allowed to lease that building without any environmental cleanup effort? Or does Katzakian and their realty/developer business own that building?
