The Lodi Education Association recently publicly recognized four of its union members with a Golden Apple Award.
Tammy Boschee and Marcus Goodman, both of Lodi High School, Phyllis Jaeger, from Reese Elementary, and Pat Browning, from Nichols Elementary, were nominated by their peers for their devotion and dedication to the teaching profession, according to union vice president Susan Kenmotsu.
She acknowledged the teachers at last week's Lodi Unified School District board meeting.
Additionally, the union presented an award to board president George Neely as a special friend of the district and for challenging its staff to do more, Kenmotsu said last week.
