Enjoying the mild temperatures? You won't be for long.
Temperatures are supposed to drop significantly Friday, with night-time lows reaching the mid-30s, according to Ken Clark, the West Coast weather expert for AccuWeather.com. Rain showers should be present throughout the day as well.
Saturday will bring even colder temperatures throughout the Central Valley that will approach record lows, Clark said. The coldest temperature on record for Feb. 26 in Stockton is 26 degrees, Clark said, which occurred in 1964.
Rain should continue throughout the weekend, with sleet or hail possible.
The colder-than-average temperatures should last for at least a week, Clark said, and temperatures in the 60s won't be seen again until at least March 3 or 4.
