San Joaquin County Sheriff’s investigators are asking for help in finding a missing person.

On Nov. 30, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in Stockton to investigate a missing person, 83 year old Robert Picetti, who was last seen on Thanksgiving Day. Picetti had no medical or mental complications or disorders. He is approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds, with brown eyes, gray hair, mustache and small beard. He was last seen wearing a red flannel shirt, blue jeans, a tan and blue Dickies jacket and brown boots.

Investigators say Picetti was last seen on Nov. 27 at the Burger King restaurant in Lockeford with Otilio Garcia. Garcia told investigators he had gone mushrooming in Ione with Picetti. He did not explain why he left Picetti behind.

This weekend, San Joaquin County and Amador County Sheriff’s personnel will continue searching for Picetti in the areas of Highway 88 and Highway 124. They will be assisted by search and rescue teams aided by canines.

Anyone who has information about Picetti or the whereabouts of Garcia on Nov. 27 is asked to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office at 209-468-4400. To remain anonymous, text the information to investigators at 274637 (CRIMES) using a cellphone. Text: SJSO followed by your tip.
