The Galt District Chamber of Commerce swore in Tammi Balukoff as the new president during the last membership luncheon held earlier this month. Balukoff is employed by Softcom Internet Communications in Galt.

Per the chamber's general membership rules, the new president was first nominated by the chamber's internal nomination committee and then ultimately was unanimously endorsed by the general membership that attended our November luncheon, according to executive director Fank Gayaldo.

The previous chamber president, Ann Ullrich of Parker Realty, will remain on the board of directors.

Miguel Chavez, co-owner of Chavez Heating & Air, is the new chamber vice president. The company also won the chamber's Business of the Year award, Gayaldo said.
