The commission tabled the consideration of an alcohol permit for Gary Arnold’s McGuire’s On Elm Street until the March 26 meeting, due to a lack of quorum.
Commissioner Dave Kirsten recused himself from the discussion because he owns property at 9 N. School St. McGuire’s On Elm Street will be located at 24 W. Elm St. if plans for the establishment are approved.
Kirsten’s recusal left only three commissioners to discuss the item.
The commission voted 4-0 to approve a use permit that would allow Lodi Christian School to increase the number of students enrolled at its new Temple Baptist Church site at 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, from 255 kindergarten through eighth-grade students to 300 for the 2014-15 academic year.

Eight new businesses, including a McDonald’s, are set for development at Reynolds Ranch.
The Lodi Planning Commission voted 4-0 to approve a new parcel map for the Reynolds Ranch development at its Wednesday night meeting that would allow as many as 25 new commercial businesses to take up shop there.
