This is an excerpt from this article: "“There are aggressive dogs out there, but I do believe it’s because of the way they’re treated,” Hammon said. “There are people who are specifically doing horrible things to them to make them into these fighting machines.”

So we are to believe the above is true, than how come I don't remember a German Shepard, or a Golden Retriever, or a poodle, or even a Rottweiler attacking someone lately? Is Mrs. Julie Hammon saying people don't treat these breeds badly?

No, almost all of the time its Pit-Bulls. And by the way, there is no such breed as a Pit-Bull...

    Nice try Mrs. Hammon...

There is actually no such breed as a Pit-Bull

First of all, my heart goes out to Ms. Dare for the loss of her beloved Shelby.

Like Ms. Hammon, we have owned pit bull(s) for over 12 years. The first one we adopted in 2002 from the Delta Humane Society. The second one in 2003 from the Lodi Animal Shelter. The third one in 2013 from Animal Friends Connection. In all these years we have not had one act of aggression by any of them. To paint all pit bulls as vicious is like painting everyone with tattoos and body piercings as thugs and gangbangers.

I would like to invite anyone with an open mind to check out www.badrap.org (badrap = Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pitbulls). This non-profit organization was instrumental in rescuing and rehabilitating a majority of the Michael Vick dogs, some of which are now beloved family pets and Canine Good Citizens.

    Thank you for your time.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
