If you’re looking for some rain to go with those cloudy skies in the Lodi area, don’t hold your breath. There may be a small amount of rain on Friday or Saturday, but it will be brief, according to Brian Edwards, a meteorologist for AccuWeather.com, a private forecasting service.

“I don’t see any real big-time rains,” Edwards said.

However, the area will dip into the 60s during the day, a stark contrast from the balmy 70-plus degrees that have hit the region this week, Edwards said.

Storms coming south from the Pacific Northwest are more likely to center in the Sierra Nevada and to the east, he added.

And if you want to see some snow, you may be in luck, with the snow level being in the 4,000-foot range during the weekend.

Once the storm passes through this weekend, there isn’t likely to be any winter wonderland in store until at least late next week, Edwards said.
