San Joaquin County Public Health Services has a new program, Mothers Invested in Baby/Madres Invertidas en Bebe (MI Baby/MI Bebe). The goal of the program is to decrease childhood obesity through support group sessions with mothers.

Sessions are provided for free in English and Spanish, through a First 5 San Joaquin grant. The program is open to mothers with children age five and younger in San Joaquin County. Topics include healthy eating and active living tips.

The MI Baby/MI Bebe program will be offered at three locations:

  • San Joaquin General Hospital Healthy Beginnings Clinic at 500 W. Hospital Road, French Camp.
  • San Joaquin General Hospital Healthy Beginnings Clinic at 1414 N. California St., Stockton.
  • Lodi Memorial Education Department at 800 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
