A Lodi resident was arrested on charges of burglary after police said they found him in possession of a global positioning system that did not belong to him.
Around 4 a.m. Wednesday, Lodi police officers arrested Larry Alt, 27, on charges of burglary and receiving known stolen property worth over $400 after they found him in possession of various items that did not belong to him, according to Cpl. Tim Fritz of the Lodi Police Department. Among those items was a GPS system, Fritz said, which was used by police to track the device back to the owners.
Upon arriving at the owner's home, police found their car window had been smashed. Their GPS system was returned to them.
